Elan Cafe first opened in Mayfair, London, back in August and has quickly become the most Instagrammable spot for bloggers, influencers and everyone who seeks to get that ‘perfect’ picture for the ‘gram’. Business was a great success, and 3 months later Elan Cafe opened its second branch on Brompton Road, in Knightsbridge. After visiting Peggy Porschen Cakes, Elan Cafe was a next one on my list. Needles to say – I was very excited about this Instagram heaven!
Be prepared to wait. Cafe is busy all the time. I would recommend to come in early in the morning, when is less busy and probably avoid weekends (if you can). We visited cafe on Monday morning and we could of have table straight away, but we wanted to wait for the ‘top table’ which was 20min wait or so. However, I have seen people queuing outside to get in, as the cafe inside is very small and there isn’t anywhere to hang out.
Interior and Menu
What makes the cafe an Instagram and Blogger’s heaven is of course, a decor. Stunning floral decorations, marble tables, millennial pink chairs and the main deal – floral wall. The menu is a decent size, however, the coffee is not cheap! While I was expecting Elan Cafe to be more expensive than other cafes, because of its location (Knightsbridge), I was definitely not expecting £4.50 for a regular latte, and £7.50 for a Spanish Latte. The food was tasty, but nothing exceptional. At the end, I think is more about cafe’s aesthetics and its posh location.
The Top table that everyone wants! Keep in mind, that you can’t book it in advance! I have to say, it was amazing to get this spot after 20min wait or so. I am so lucky to have a boyfriend, who did not mind to wait, so we could take that ‘perfect‘ picture for the ‘gram’ next to the floral wall. Buuuut, I think it was worth it, the spot is absolutely gorgeous!
Overall, I really enjoyed Elan cafe, and likely to return one day (maybe summer?). The staff was great and friendly, I loved cafe’s busy environment, beautiful decor and floral wall, of course.
